Sri Lanka represented at the thirty fifth meeting of the OEWG of the Parties to the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer held from 22nd to 24th April 2015, and the workshop on HFC management technical issues, held from 20st to 21st April 2015 in France.

Network Meeting for South Asia Ozone Officers

The Network Meeting of South Asia Ozone Officers which was held in Sri Lanka at Grand Oriental Hotel from 27th May to 30th May was concluded successfully. This event was supported by the Multi Lateral Fund for the implementation of the Montreal Protocol and organized as joint collaboration with United Nations Environment Programme Regional office in Bangkok. Representatives from 15 South Asian Countries: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Islamic Republic of Iran, Democratic Republic of Korea, Republic of Korea, Maldives, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka were participated for this event. Further, representatives from Japan, Australia and United States of America as Observers and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), United Nations Industrial Development Organizations (UNIDO), Multilateral Fund Secretariat (MLF) and World Bank were participated as resource persons.
